JMBFS Achieves Impact Factor 1.0 for 2025
We are delighted to announce that the Journal of Microbiology, Biotechnology and Food Sciences (JMBFS) has achieved an Impact Factor of 1.0, representing another important milestone in the journal’s continuous development.
Compared with the previous year, our Impact Factor has increased from 0.8 to 1.0, reflecting the growing visibility, scientific quality, and citation performance of the research published in JMBFS.
This achievement is the result of the dedicated work of our authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and readers, whose commitment has helped strengthen the journal’s reputation within the international scientific community.
The increase is particularly encouraging because the Web of Science database still contains duplicate records from one publication year. These duplicate entries continue to inflate the number of published articles used in the denominator of the Impact Factor calculation, meaning that the current metric is still affected by historical indexing inaccuracies. Despite this remaining issue, JMBFS has successfully improved its Impact Factor to 1.0, demonstrating a substantial increase in the journal’s citation performance.
We continue to cooperate with Web of Science to ensure that all remaining indexing inconsistencies are resolved, allowing future bibliometric indicators to reflect the journal’s true scientific impact even more accurately.
Reaching an Impact Factor of 1.0 is an important achievement for JMBFS and motivates us to further improve the quality of our editorial processes, attract high-quality manuscripts, and strengthen our position among international journals in microbiology, biotechnology, and food sciences.
We sincerely thank all authors, reviewers, editors, and readers for their continued trust and support. Together, we look forward to achieving even greater success in the years ahead.
